Tina Herold for Why Pink
It's interesting how people come in and out of your life and the (sometimes) so evident reasons for it.  The same can be said for life's ups and downs.  How you handle it all is a good indication of your strength and character.  So if you can do all that, and always have good hair....I may just have to put you on a pedestal. Or torture you until you give up all your fab hair secrets.

I'm grateful my path crossed with Tina Herold, owner of Wigged Out, wig boutique.  In her no-nonsense way she will tell you straight up and honest what her secrets are to boldness, strength and ridiculously great hair.

The hair is courtesy of a stunning wig.  Yep...that girl wears a wig.  Does she have cancer? You ask.  Not anymore.  She kicked it's booty well and truly and took a good hard lesson from it:  Waste no more time on my hair when I could be spending that time cherishing my family and friends.

Tina also didn't want her horrific wig shopping experience to happen to any other person, ever.

Tina writes: "The woman working in the shop was cold and indifferent to my presence. How could she be indifferent when all I wanted to do was scream until I woke up from this nightmare? The reality was that this was no dream, and I needed help buying a wig. I was going to be bald in just a few weeks. BALD!!! The thought was just too much. I was 34 years old and had been diagnosed with breast cancer."

Imagine going to a specialty boutique and not having prompt, courteous and attentive services!  But to be a bad wig shop?  Don't mess with me and my hair girlfriend.

Make lemonade out of lemons, was the choice Tina made.   She became a business owner and generous contributor to breast health awareness, plus made a commitment to make a difference.  Now Tina keeps her hair shaved and wears a wig every day.  The hair is already fixed, needs washed about once a month, and can change faster than a salon visit.

Wigs are not just for cancer patients either.  Many of Tina's recent customers have been women who want a no-fuss hair style, but one that can change easily.  You have your choice of colors, lengths and styles.

Wigged Out boutique is by appointment only, but you can usually find Tina with her mobile boutique set up at Haute Market events.  Whether you are a cancer patient and need to shop from someone who had to wear a bandana, or just want easy hair, Tina will spend time with you to make the experience a positive one.

Tina also has the greatest, sassiest t-shirts for sale online and in her boutique.  With 20% of all sales being donated back to charity, Tina is definitely making a difference and fulfilling her dreams at the same time.
