It's not exactly unlocking the fountain of youth, but you can create the illusion of youth, highlights and a good nights rest.

Fatigue seems to be the biggest complaint from ladies of all ages.  Whether you partied a bit too late the night before a work day, were kept awake by a restless spouse, or were up with the baby all night long....we all need a bit of help in the brightening department at some point.

For evening, a shimmering nearly-white eye shadow just under the brow and a bit in the inside corners of your eyes has worked for me.  Please do not attempt this trick during the day lest you want to be mistaken for a "lady of the night"  ;)  An actual lady saves shimmer for night time (I could say the same about cleavage but that is an article for another day).

For day time still use a light eyeshadow, just one without the shimmer please.  Pale pink is nice.  A pearly white even.  Keep it minimal, just under the brow to give the illusion of a "lift".

Pro advice

Great advice from my personal makeup artist, Staci Broski:

-Use white eyeliner on the bottom lash line.
-When applying concealor never forget the inner corner of your eyes. This will brighten the area leaving you looking more fresh and awake.
-If you know COLOR WHEEL lingo~  utilize colors that contrast from your eye color to help provide a fresh glow to the color of their natural eyes.
Example: Blue Eyes~ Red Browns & colors in the coral family.
Green Eyes~ Red Browns and Plums.
Brown Eyes~ Orange tones and Plums.

-Use a thin layer of primer prior to application this will provide a more vibrant effect with the eye shadow.

Staci's recommended white eyeliner?  MAC FAscinating Liner

Apply illuminator under concealer. Pat concealer on under eye area. Reapply as needed for desired coverage.
The versatile dual-end formula can be used several ways: apply the illuminating liquid highlighter under the concealer, for subtle luminosity, or use it the way the best make-up artists do: on cheekbones, brow bones and the inside corner of the eye for that cover girl look.

Why it works:

With ingredients like an advanced ingredient, similar to the botulinum toxin, it helps prohibit muscles from contracting and helps prevent the formation of wrinkles.
SYN®-COLL- Cutting-edge peptide that helps accelerate collagen production and dramatically reduce the size and depth of wrinkles.
LICORICE ROOT - Helps to brighten the skin and has anti-inflammatory properties.

Try these tips.  Don't be discouraged if it takes a few times to get it perfect.  Using good quality brushes is a tremendous help.

Stay pretty!
